Youth Arts Month…a rite of spring

March 29, 2012

Students at Fairfield County's Geiger Elementary took a field trip to local music community center Blackstock Station.

In schools across South Carolina, March means more than high winds, kites, daffodils and pollen.  Individual schools and districts celebrate the creativity of their youngest artists in myriad ways and create opportunities for them to learn from artists in their communities.  Check out the following three posts that show a range of activities from three areas of our state. From inland Fairfield County to coastal areas Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, the following three contributing schools have shared  images and short stories  so we can celebrate with them this month and beyond.
