Rose Festival in Lancaster

The arts planning gods must have gotten together and said, “Let them plan their festivals the weekend of May 14 & 15.”

From Artisphere in Greenville to The South Carolina Book Festival in Columbia to Sculpture in the South in Summerville, there is no shortage of engaging arts activities across a variety of disciplines in our state in the next three days.  In several smaller communities, you can partake in the Blue Ridge Fest  in Pickens, Lancaster’s Rose Festival and Walterboro’s Antiques, History and Arts festival.   There’s even more.  If you aren’t aware of the festival listing provided through our state’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism office, check it out here for even more activities this weekend and in the coming months.   Other event  listings include Festival News  and, of course,  Arts Daily.

Take a drive this weekend and be part of one of these special events!

Looking forward:  Here’s one of many upcoming festivals we have in store in the coming months. Check out this new fest in Beaufort May 20-22.
